Individual:
--Source of information (22 November 1999): James Dyer ; Lists his name as Johann George DELP.
--Source of information (22 November 1999): Judy Denison ; Lists his name as George "Hans" DELP OR Johann Georg DELP, who came over on the ship, Bilander Thistle, from Germany. It landed in Pennsylvania 28 October 1738. Hans wifes name was Barbara Moyer, she was born around 1718, died around 1789. Hans was born 25 June 1718, died around 1789. Samuel was born 1746, died 1808 or 1809. His wife was born Rockhill, Bucks county and died at Buckingham. She had three sisters and four brothers. There was Michael, George, Abraham, Samuel, Agnes, Elizabeth, and Barbara.
There was an Isaac Delp, who came to America from Germany 26 Sep 1737, on the St. Andrew Galley.
--Source of information (17 December 2000): Bryan W. Delp ;
There was no Isaac Delp that came over on the St Andrew Galley in 1737. There was a Conrad Delp who was listed as a passenger on the St Andrew Galley. Conrad was proven to have settled in the Germanna Colony of Virginia (Madison, Culpeper Co.) by 1740. A different line than those of the Pennsylvania Delps. Though they may be related from Germany, there seems to be no American connection.
I have personally researched Conrad Delp and his descendants from Madison Co, VA to Boone Co, KY and into Parke Co, IN. I have looked, and as of yet, cannot find the connection between Conrad Delp and Hans Delp. Though it appears Conrad arrived a year before Hans from a yet to be determined region of the Rhineland.[James Dyer (Catherine DELP).FTW]
All of the male children were possibly Revolutionary War veterans.
