• What do I receive when I purchase Family Tree Legends?

You get the full retail version of Family Tree Legends software to use on your computer for an unlimited amount of time.

Family Tree Legends is a downloadable Windows application. After you purchase the software Pearl Street Software will send instructions for downloading the software to the email address that you provide us with. You can download the software as many times as you would like by visiting our web site and submitting the serial number that we provide you with.

If you have a United States and Canadian mailing address, you can choose to receive an installation CD-ROM for and additional $5 (US Dollars). The installation CD-ROM will be sent to you via USPS within 7-14 business days after your order is received. The installation CD-ROM also includes the full Family Tree Legends electronic user guide. Shipping outside the United States and Canada is not available at this time.

The right to backup an unlimited number of files using our Real-Time Internet Backup feature.

The ability to publish an unlimited number of files to the GenCircles web site on the Internet using our Real-Time.

• What are the System Requirements?

• Family Tree Legends supports the following operating systems:
• Windows XP
• Windows 2000
• Windows 98 1st & 2nd editions

• 166 MHz processor computer or above is required. Most computers sold in the past 5 years meet this requirement.
• 20 MB of available disk space on your hard drive is required for the software and any family tree files that you create.
• 32 MB of RAM memory is required to perform program operations.

• What languages does Family Tree Legends support?

At the current time our software is available only in the English language. We are planning on supporting additional languages in the near future.

• Is Family Tree Legends compatible with the Macintosh operating system?

Unfortunately, our software does not support the Macintosh operating system. We have considered building support for this in future releases of the Family Tree Legends software. We however we cannot specify a date for this support, and apologize for this inconvenience.

• How do I update my software?

When you purchase Family Tree Legends, you are provided with free upgrades for the life of each major version. For example if you purchased version 3.0 you would have free automated upgrades for minor version releases until version 4.0 is released. At that time, you would have the choice to upgrade at a discounted upgrade rate.

Our minor release software updates are free for existing users, and they occur automatically when you are connected to the Internet. To ensure that you are running the latest version of Family Tree Legends you can select: "HELP > GET LATEST VERSION OF FAMILY TREE LEGENDS" while connected to the Internet.
